Career Technology Student Organizations are integral parts of career and technology education courses towards preparing students to become college and career ready. CTSO enhance student learning through leadership and personal development, applied learning and real world application. Here at DHSTN students participates in activities and competitive events at the local, regional, state and national levels of the various CTSOs.
Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda is a nonprofit education association of students preparing for careers in business and business-related fields. The FBLA Mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs. Associated Programs: Business Pathway
Technology Student Association (TSA) is a national, non-profit organization for students with an interest in technology. TSA members learn problem-solving, decision-making, critical thinking and leadership skills as they relate to design, communications, power, energy, transportation, engineering, manufacturing, construction and biotechnology. HOSA is a national student organization endorsed by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Technology Education Division of ACTE. HOSA's two-fold mission is to promote career opportunities in the health care industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. HOSA's goal is to encourage all health occupations instructors and students to join and be actively involved in the HSTE-HOSA Partnership. SkillsUSA is national organization that provides quality education experiences for students in leadership, teamwork, citizenship and character development. It builds and reinforces self-confidence, work attitudes and communications skills. It emphasizes total quality at work, high ethical standards, superior work skills, life-long education and pride in the dignity of work. SkillsUSA also promotes understanding of the free enterprise system and involvement in community service activities.
