“Understanding diversity includes knowing how diminished we all are when voices go unheard.”
~Preskill & Brookfield, 2009
I am so excited to join the dynamic team of individuals that represent DHST-North Campus. I began my education career in 1998 when one of my middle school administrators recognized that I would be attending college in our hometown and decided there was nothing better than a “home grown “educator. Her instinct and the love and support of family and friends enabled me to fulfill that goal. 23 years later, I remain a dedicated educator with a passion for student supports. My background includes special education, school improvement, RTI, dual enrollment (degree, occupational and diploma level), school counseling and regional programming for some of our most at risk students within juvenile justice.
What I love most about CTAE is that it’s “real-life” planning. CTAE fits the student that wants to be a certified nursing assistant as well as the student that desires to be a doctor. Over the years, I have witness the hope and outcomes that CTAE programs provide to many students that otherwise wouldn’t have the means to make it.
