Cross Keys SkillsUSA Recognized at Dekalb Board Meeting 



SkillsUSA members were recognized for their accomplishment at the National Conference held in Louisville, Ky on June 19-23, 2017.  Yami Jarquin, stated that “this is the greatest honor.  We are going to be standing in front of the most important people in the school system.”  Antonio Morales stated that, “everyone now knows about us and SkillsUSA.”   

On November 6, the Cross Keys SkillsUSA Chapter was recognized at the DeKalb School System November Board Meeting. The Agenda Item Title at the Board Meeting was “Recognize CTAE Student Winning National Career and Technical Student Organization Competitions.

Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) are valuable tools for implementing technical and academic standards found in the state’s curriculum standards.  Students qualify for national competition by winning their technical and academic events at regional and state levels.
