                                     CHILD IDENTIFICATION CARD SERVICES

On December 12, Cross Keys SkillsUSA Chapter went beyond the call of duty in completing their community service project.  This year’s project, Child Identification Card Services, was designed to provide ID cards to children under the age of 13.  Criminal justice student, Anahi Varela, stated, with more than five children missing per day, this information could assist law enforcement authorities in locating missing children.  We need to do this.”

This purpose of this project was also to enhance our job specific skills learned in the classroom. Members from construction, computer technology, criminal justice and healthcare science had an opportunity to display skills acquired in their technical classes to complete the Child Identification Card Services.

Alexa Giron stated that her computer skills were definitely tested in this project. SkillsUSA members completed more than one hundred child ID cards.
